Rates are charges levied by councils on land within its local government area. Councils are required by law to charge rates in order to provide essential services to local communities in order to maintain an acceptable standard of living.

The NSW Government announced on Tuesday 30 May 2017 that the introduction of the Fire and Emergency Services Levy (FESL) that was due to commence on 1 July, will be deferred. Click here for further information.

 

You can now pay your rates or sundry debtor account by credit card. You will need your rates notice or account and credit card. To pay by credit card click here.   Alternatively you can pay by telephone using your credit card by calling 1300 134 542 and following the prompts.

 

Council’s Community Newsletter is sent with the annual Rates Notice each July and with the quarterly rates instalment Reminder each January, April and October. The newsletter provides information on Council services and projects and opportunities to have your say on Council projects and consultations.
