The theme of the Wentworth Falls Lake Park is ‘Nature’.
This park has a picnic area on the shores of Wentworth Falls Lake, which is an old railway dam, and has a delightful bushland setting.
It offers water views and water bird life and natural bushland reserve with boardwalks. The lake is suitable for kayaks and canoes but not watercraft with engines.
It also features a series of sandstone sculptures by local sculptors inspired by native plants and their seeds/nuts.
Park benches and a shelter with barbeques, toilets, loop paths suitable for wheelchairs and children’s bikes, playground equipment and a small jetty.
Council continues to improve its four major District Parks to provide higher quality public park spaces that are more accessible, inclusive and have better quality of design and amenities.
Each of these parks will embrace a theme to create a range of experiences across the mountains that builds on each park’s current strength and setting.
To provide a healthy environment for children, all play equipment at Blue Mountains parks are now smoke free. Smoking is prohibited within 10 metres of any play equipment.
