Workshops – We can come to you!

Want to know how we can work together to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill taking up valuable space, generating carbon emissions and causing other environmental impacts that are expensive to manage?

Why not invite one of our Sustainable Living Education Officers to come to you and present a FREE interactive workshop to your group?  This experience will leave you with some practical tips, giveaways and further insight into our waste services in the Blue Mountains and enable us, as a community, to move towards a circular economy and transition to zero waste.

The 4 workshops we have on offer this year are listed below:

Love food waste!
Want to learn how you could save up to $1,000 per year by simply planning and making clever choices when buying food, and using leftovers? 
Well this workshop is for you! 

How to Compost!
Are you interested in learning how to compost? Not sure where or how to start? Then this workshop is for you! Learn how to compost and use food scraps the way nature intended, by returning valuable nutrients to the soil. 

How to worm farm!
Are you interested in learning how to worm Farm? 
Well this workshop is for you! No space for a compost bin and not sure where or how to start? Then this workshop is for you! Worm farming is not only ideal for small spaces and small families, the worm soil and worm liquid produced by the worms are great for returning valuable nutrients to the soil. 

What goes where!
Wanting to know what council services are available to Blue Mountains residents? Then this workshop is for you!
Council offers a variety of services, including our Resource Recovery Waste Management facilities, weekly kerbside waste bins, booked waste services and more. If you are unsure about how to use some of these services, then get in contact today.

All of these workshops are hosted by Blue Mountains City Council, for Blue Mountains residents only.
