About the course

Council manages a large number of buildings across our 27 towns and villages, and we want to up-skill local small to medium scale builders to increase their skills and confidence in developing successful tender applications for working with Council.

Our Doing business with Council workshop is facilitated by Colin Lange, founder of Lange Consulting & Software and the past designer and owner of the APET software used for Council’s Tenders and Requests For Quotes (RFQs). Colin has been working with local government and the business community since 1997 and has previously consulted and trained at Blue Mountains City Council. He was appointed to AusIndustry’s panel of tender writing trainers in 2017.

Colin delivers lively and practical training sessions covering:

  • Procurement fundamentals
  • How best to use the APET software
  • Practical tips about how to write an application to give you a better chance of winning
