Development Applications on Exhibition

Click here for development applications on Exhibition.

The site includes plans and documentation submitted with a development application. Submissions must be in writing and will be accepted up to the end date of the exhibition period. In commenting on the proposal submitters should consider the character of the streetscape, amenity impacts such as accessibility, privacy and overshadowing, loss of views, landscaping, stormwater management, traffic and parking as well as other environmental, social and economic impacts in the locality.

Submissions are not confidential

The Government Information (Public Access) Act (of NSW, Australia), states that submissions received on development applications are available to any interested party.  If disclosure of your submission (which can include name and contact details), may reasonably be expected to expose a person to risk of harm or of serious harassment or intimidation or affect your business interests, then this should be referenced upfront in the submission.  Submissions will be released unless on balance there is an overriding public interest against disclosure.*  Whilst Council may attempt to withhold release, submissions are made available for applications called before a Panel, Tribunal or Court.

*There are limited and specific public interest tests for and against disclosure. For further information see Office of the Information Commissioner (link to www.oic.nsw.gov.au)

Political donations

A political donations disclosure statement must be lodged with any submission made where you, or any associated person, has made a political donation to a Councillor (totalling $1,000 or greater) or given a gift to a Councillor or employee of this Council, within the last 2 years and up until the application is determined. A reference to a reportable political donation made to a local Councillor includes a reference to a donation made at the time the person was a candidate for election to the council.
