You will support and guide the team in delivering waste and sustainability programs.  You will provide input and advice to corporate processes to represent the needs of the Waste Resource Service.  You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the waste and sustainability programs are responsive to industry, community and Council needs.

You will work with the other part time Program Leader to provide leadership to the Waste & Sustainability team.

You will have a high level of organisational and project management skills as well as stakeholder engagement skills.  You will have demonstrated experience in communication, negotiation and problem solving.

Program Leader, Open Space & Facilities Maintenance - V18/4346

This position is responsible for leading a small high performing team concentrating on the day to day management of open space and facilities.  Key duties will include developing, implementing and reviewing maintenance plans and contracts, oversee volunteer activities and manage minor projects.

The applicant will require Tertiary or trade qualification or considerable experience in a similar role, experience in managing contracts and maintenance related works programs, experience in preparing RFQs and Tenders. 

Demonstrated high level communication skills and experience in negotiation long with well-developed computer skills, especially related to word processing, data analysis, project management and spreadsheets is essential.

A Council leaseback vehicle is available with this position.

Salary:  commencing at $1892.30 gross per week.

Assistant Printer - V18/4347

As an Assistant Printer you will work as part of our print team delivering printing services to both internal clients, and to external clients within the community.

Your day to day responsibilities will involve the operation of our printing technology to deliver high quality printing products like posters, booklets and flyers. 

The print room is highly regarded for its customer service, and working with clients will form an important part of the role. Further the print room is looking to continually increase its external income so this is a great chance to help with the promotion and marketing side of the operation.

Requirements include:  

•    Day to day quoting and costing of printing jobs
•    Liaise with clients on their printing requirements
•    Deliver finished jobs to various clients
•    Assist in the promotion of print room services to increase external client base
•    Colour and composite digital printing and desktop publishing

Sustainability Advisor - V18/4348

The Sustainability Advisor will monitor and update Council’s carbon footprint and implement the Carbon Action Plan, including preparing the annual investment plan for Council’s Carbon Revolving Fund.   You will provide technical advice and expertise to Council staff as they are developing initiatives for funding. You will monitor funding opportunities and prepare grant applications.

You will have significant experience in driving organisational sustainability, particularly through emission reduction initiatives. 

You will have strong interpersonal and planning skills.  You will have strong skills in workplace engagement, communication and consultation.  You will have the ability to think creatively and strategically to resolve challenges and have good project management skills.

Job-share will be considered.

Salary:  commencing at $1419.90 gross per week.
