Katoomba: Katoomba Falls Night-Lit Walk UPDATE

The night lit walk is available from Katoomba Falls Reserve to Katoomba Cascades (to the bottom of the stairs).

The section of the boardwalk from Katoomba Cascades to Duke & Duchess of York Lookout has the new LED under rail lighting, however, it’s not functional due to vandalism of the electrical wiring that feeds that section of the walk.

The night walk from Katoomba Falls Reserve to Cliff View Lookout is functional. Suggested that visitors are encouraged to use these two sections of the night lit walk and if they go beyond that to take a torch or headlamp.

Katoomba: Minnehaha Falls CLOSURE

The walking track to Minnehaha Falls (North Katoomba) is currently closed until further notice - due to safety risks relating to the instability of a rock overhang.

Council is currently considering options to undertake the work required to safely reopen the track. This will take some time and we thank you for your patience.

Those ignoring closure fencing and closure signage do so at their own risk and are urged not to.
