School holiday kids 'flix' and pop-up playspace at the Blue Mountains Theatre
Back by popular demand and ready to entertain the whole family these April school holidays is a range of children’s fun, positive and heart-warming films at the Blue Mountains Theatre.
Tuesday 17 April - Smurfs: The Lost Village (G) is a rollicking tale of adventure and courage. Smurfette and her best friends venture into the Forbidden Forest, on a course to uncover the biggest secret in Smurf history as the race against time and the evil wizard Gargamel.
Thursday 19 April - Moana (PG) is a loyal and determined girl who sets out to follow her true calling, overcoming many obstacles on her journey to save her people. It’s a wonderful and uplifting story of self-discovery.
Tuesday 24 April - A Bug’s Life (G) follows the incredible journey of a hapless ant, seeking a brave band of warriors to help him battle the bullying grasshoppers who threaten his colony. Along the way, he discovers the awesome power of imagination and the bond of friendship.
There will also be a range of hands-on bug-themed crafts and activities at a free pop-up play space before the A Bug’s Life movie, presented by Blue Mountains Family Day Care. Suitable for children of all ages.
Thursday 26 April - Captain Underpants (G) is based on the popular kid’s book series about best buddies and pranksters George and Harold who hypnotize their school principal into thinking he is Captain Underpants. This one is filled with plenty of slapstick silliness to keep the kids chuckling all day long.
You can also grab a kid’s snack pack with fresh popcorn, a treat and drink for $5.
