The villages of Warrimoo, Valley Heights, Winmalee and Yellow Rock offer a range of beautiful bushwalks and family
friendly outdoor activities including parks, picnic areas, mountain bike tracks and dog friendly walks.

Warrimoo is home to the popular Florabella Pass bushwalk. Renowned as one of the prettiest walks in the lower Blue Mountains, this track is characterised by wildflowers, shelter caves, and swimming holes, which are close to the village centre. If you have a craving for some delicious Italian food after your walk, Monte Italia Pizzeria offers a range of hand-crafted dishes all prepared using quality fresh ingredients.

Just pass Warrimoo is the historic railway village of Valley Heights. The main attraction of this village is the Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum which presents fascinating railway history and displays some unique exhibits showcasing the important relationship the Depot had in development of the state’s central west region. On select dates, the Museum also operates train rides upon a 120 year old steam locative known as “Stevo”.

One of the fastest growing villages in the Blue Mountains is the village of Winmalee. Situated in the heart of Winmalee is the Winmalee Village Centre which offers over 20 specialty retail shops and cafés. For those looking to escape into nature, a great option is the Blue Gum Swamp track located at the end of Whitecross Road. Suitable for both walkers and mountain bike riders, this 10km circuit track is characterised by tall blue gum trees and understory ferns, and during September/October you may be fortunate to see waratahs growing in the wild.

Yellow Rock Lookout situated in the Yellomundee Regional Park provides the perfect location to soak in bush surrounds, tranquility and exceptional views over the Nepean River, Western Sydney area and Cumberland Plains. Here you can enjoy a picnic, take the dog for a stroll and enjoy the birdlife of the area.
