StreamWatch involves the help of volunteers with regular monitoring of local waterways.
Volunteers conduct a range of simple physical, chemical and biological tests to monitor the condition of their adopted waterways which is reported against Australian water quality guidelines.
Monitoring is currently conducted monthly by a number of existing Bushcare groups across the Blue Mountains.
Steamwatch is currently coordinated by the Greater Sydney Landcare Network.
