Bushcare
Bushcare is our program for the restoration of bushland reserves by volunteers. Volunteers are involved in looking after the native bush, plant identification, fauna monitoring, weed control and seed...
Our bush regeneration team works in Council-managed reserves and bushland areas.
The team works in conjunction with the Urban Weeds and Bushcare teams, and volunteers, to ensure a co-ordinated approach across the catchment.
The crew is led by Justine Vella (Team Leader) and Matthew Rudge (Bushland Project Officer).
They work across 4 conservation landscapes throughout the Blue Mountains Local Government Area.
The focus of the program is the restoration of key conservational outcomes occurring throughout rare forests (Threatened Endangered Ecological communities) of the lower Blue Mountains and the upper Blue Mountain swamps.
They are often called upon to support the Bushcare program.
