Blue Mountains Sustainability Model

The Blue Mountains Sustainability Model, developed in 2000, recognises the inherent connections between the quality of life of people and all other life on the planet.

It demonstrates that action needs to be taken at every level, to improve our quality of life and the life of the planet.  This includes:

  • Individual
  • Household
  • Town
  • City
  • Regional
  • Global

It also shows the importance of strengthening assets underpinning quality of all life, especially natural assets.
