Celebrating Seniors Week in the Blue Mountains

NSW Seniors Festival is an opportunity to promote a better understanding within the community about seniors and the value they add to our lives. It is also an opportunity to encourage older people to lead active lifestyles and participate at all levels in our community.

The annual Blue Mountains Seniors Week Recognition Awards is an important part of the Seniors Festival.

The Awards acknowledge the contribution that individuals and organisations have made to the seniors of the Blue Mountains community.

Nominations for the 2018 Seniors Week Recognition Awards closed on Friday, 30 March 2018.

Seniors Festival Program

To acknowledge the remarkable contributions our local seniors make to our Blue Mountains community, a program of over 27 events throughout the month of April has been put together.

The theme for 2018 focuses on “let’s do more together”. It is about promoting inclusive communities by providing a range of opportunities for seniors to make new friends, get together with old friends, and try new things.

This program has been put together through the partnership of Council and various contributing Blue Mountains community organisations and businesses.

There should be something for everyone to enjoy throughout April. Download below or from the right hand side of this page.
