Step 1: Apply

Complete an Application for Care form and email the form to

Step 2: Educator vacancies/ waitlist

Once you have submitted an Application for Care form, a Care Placement Officer will be in touch to discuss your application and provide a list of suitable educators. You are more than welcome to request an educator or ask to be placed on a wait list, if our vacancies are not suitable at the time.

Step 3: Meet and greet with educator/s

Families are encouraged to visit educators in their homes, to decide which service is the best fit for your child. At your meet and greet, you will have the opportunity to see the educator’s family day care space and ask any questions about how their service operates. This is also an opportunity for the educator to meet your child and for you to share any information about your child that will be relevant to their care.

Step 4: Enrolment and fees

Educators set their own hourly fees based on the type of care they are offering. You will need to discuss fees and charges directly with your educator.

Blue Mountains Family Day Care is an approved child care service and families who access care through our service are eligible for the Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS).  You can contact the Family Assistance Office to find out whether you are eligible for CCS. Click here for more information

Once you make an agreement with an educator, the enrolment process will commence. You will be required to complete an enrolment form and an Educator and Parent Agreement. You may also need to complete other forms that specifically relate to your child’s individual needs and the educator’s service.

The Service also requires a copy of your child’s Immunisation Certificate which you can download from your MyGov account.

Once the enrolment process is complete, you will be required to sign a Complying Written Arrangement which confirms the hours and fees agreed to between yourself and your educator. Once this is complete your child can commence care.
