Our Coordination Unit assists families in finding the right care for their child.

 

Step 2: Educator vacancies/wait list

Once you have submitted an Application For Care form, we will be in touch to discuss your application and provide a list of suitable educators. You are more than welcome to request an educator or ask to be placed on a wait list, if our vacancies are not suitable at the time.

 

Step 3: Meet and greet with educator/s

Families are encouraged to visit educators in their homes, to decide which service is the best fit for your child. At your meet and greet, you will have the opportunity to see the Educator's Family Day Care space and ask any questions about how their service operates.  This is also an opportunity for the Educator to meet your child and for you to share any information about your child that will be relevant to their care.

 

Step 4: Enrolment & fees

Educators set their own hourly fees based on the type of care they are offering. You will need to discuss fees and charges directly with your educator.

Once you make an agreement with an educator, you will need to complete the following before your child starts care:

  • Contact the federal government's Family Assistance Office to find out whether you are eligible for the Government Child Care Subsidy. Click for more information
  • Complete an enrolment form (this is a separate to the Application For Care form).
  • Complete a service agreement form (this is between you and your educator).
  • Download your child's updated Immunisation Certificate via your MyGov account.

 

Step 5: Welcome to Family Day Care
