City Art Projects

Blue Mountains City Council (Council) is committed to delivering a City Art program of local and national significance that enriches the lives of residents and enhances the cultural vibrancy of the City of Blue Mountains.

Blue Mountains City Council acknowledges that our City is enlivened and beautified by the integration of art and artistic elements into the public domain and provides opportunities for creatives to express themselves and improve the urban fabric of our towns.

From laneways activated by art installations, to the integration of creative design elements in civic infrastructure projects, to the provision of sanctioned street art walls attracting local and international talent, the City's public art programs are informed by the Blue Mountains City Council's Creative Strategy 2020 - 2027 and the City Art Policy.

Katoomba Street Art Walk Application

The Street Art Walk is a dynamic, community-driven cultural treasure of the Blue Mountains, created by Street Art Murals Australia (SAMA) in partnership with the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, University of Western Sydney and relevant stakeholders in the Beverly Place precinct. The Street Art Walk displays world standard street art from all aerosol disciplines. International, national and local artists of varying experience paint large-scale artworks in this precinct through a curated process of proposal and selection. Stylistically the murals cover all street art artistic disciplines and are temporary by nature.

The Street Art Walk is located at Beverly Place, Katoomba. To submit an application to paint at the Street Art Walk, please download the form below and read the terms & conditions.
