Development Engineer

Graduate to Area Level

This could be the beginning or the next step in your career. Council is seeking a highly motivated person in the field of civil engineering to participate in subdivision development assessments that consider sustainability principles in a World Heritage environment.

You will be issuing approvals and undertaking inspections to ensure that public infrastructure works are completed to Council's standards and that environmental issues are well managed. You will gain a broad range of experience and a good understanding of environmental, bushfire and planning regulations as they relate to civil engineering works.

The position is within a broadbanded salary range. The Graduate position will have recently completed, or be near completion of a degree in civil engineering. To be appointed at the Area level you will need to have a degree qualification and typically 2 to 3 years experience. Continuing progression is dependent on the acquisition and application of skills and experience.

A leaseback vehicle is available and training/educational assistance is supported.

Salary: commencing at Graduate Level $882.37, Area Level $1,057.68.
