Blue Mountains City Council

Nature Based Recreation Strategy 2005-2015

Blue Mountains City Council has prepared this Nature Based Recreation Strategy in consultation with key stakeholders to guide the management of recreation on natural areas of the City in both public and private ownership.

This strategy provides a basis for Council policy and decision-making in the management of sustainable nature based recreation opportunities and sustainable nature based tourism in the Blue Mountains.

It supports the 25-year Strategy for the City of Blue Mountains, contained in "Towards a more Sustainable Blue Mountains: A 25 Year Vision for the City" and "Map for Action - 2000- 2025".

The strategy has a 10-year time frame for implementation.
