FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

The primary purpose of the Freedom Of Information Act 1989 is to provide the public with access to as much documentation and information held by government agencies as is possible in the circumstances of each application.

Members of the public may apply for access to documents held by Council under the Freedom of Information Act 1989 by sending applications to:

Applications should clearly state the nature of the documents required and should be accompanied by a $30.00 application fee. Generally, applications will be processed in 21 days. If the matter is complex we will inform you it could take up to 40 days. For further information contact the Freedom of Information Officer on (02) 4780 5508.
