What is Second Hand Saturday?
Second Hand Saturday is the biggest community garage sale day in the Mountains.
And on 25 February 2012, it’s coming to Blackheath.
If you live in Blackheath, you can:
- Run your own garage sale
- Fundraise or make some extra cash
- Turn your trash into treasure!
If you’re not planning a garage sale, or you’re just visiting Blackheath, you can:
- Go hunting for treasure
- Bag a bargain or snag something special
- Start a street conversation with someone new!

If you live in Blackheath (postcode 2785), register your Second Hand Saturday Sale with Council and we’ll:
- Advertise your sale for FREE in The Gazette and on our website from Wednesday 22 February 2012
- Send you a FREE seller’s pack
- Promote Second Hand Saturday across the Blue Mountains and beyond.
You Don’t Need a Garage!
If you don’t have time, space or enough items for a sale, why not:
- Set up a street kiosk (on the footpath) and let your kids run it
- Hold a multi-family sale by turning your ‘street sale’ into a ‘street party’!
Remember, the bigger your sale, the more customers you will attract.
