    Access this children's literature online database from any library PC by clicking on "Login to The Source with an IP address". Then search for books and poems by title (or first line for poems), author, subject, genre, or age suitability; or search the awards DB for winning titles and authors.
  • Allreaders.com
    A database of author and book reviews searchable by plot, theme, character, and setting.
  • The Booklist Centre  
    Includes over 200 booklists in more than 50 categories showing not only award winning books but also recommended lists of books selected by authorities in dozens of fields.
  • Christchurch City Library: If You Like   
    If you like books or music in a certain style or by a particular author or composer, you may wish to explore some of these.
  • Halton Hills Public Library
    Readers advisory service with lots of thematic book lists.
  • Hennepin County Library: Reader to Reader     
    The If You Like database links readers to fiction books they might enjoy. You may use the file in either of two ways. To search by keyword, enter an author's name or a theme (for example, "horror") or, you may browse a complete list of the 'If You Like' subject categories.
  • MGPL Webrary     
    Many discussion topics on Fiction, the Morton Grove Public Library's mailing list for reader's advisory issues, result in compilations of books on a particular theme, authors with similar styles, etc. Many of these booklists are then made available on the web site, accessible through this index.
