• Health and Wellness Resource Centre (HWRC)
  An online collection of magazines, journals, newspapers, definitions, directories, and information on fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases, public health, occupational health and safety, alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drugs, herbal remedies, and alternative or complementary treatments. Select "Blue Mountains" from the drop down menu and click the "Go Now!" button for access.

  Provides a single gateway to up-to-date information on important health topics such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, cancer and children's health.
• Healthtouch Online
  A resource that brings together valuable information from trusted sources on topics such as medications, health, diseases, supplements and natural medicine.
• Mednets 
  International research site providing general and specialist health information as well as search access to a variety of specialist medical databases worldwide. Also lists health organisations and associations by countries.
• myDr Health Information Search
  Search for information relating to health, medications, support groups, health professionals or medical terminology. Australian based site.
• US National Library of Medicine
  Includes access to a wide range of general health information as well as access to MEDLINE and other databases.

  The Internet Drug Index gives the brand, generic and category for over 4,000 drugs. Information provided includes common indications and side effects and allows you to identify unknown tablets and capsules by searching for their ID Imprint Codes.

Miscellaneous

• The Cochrane Library
  Evidence based systematic reviews of healthcare and clinical trials prepared by the Cochrane Collaboration. The National Institute of Clinical Studies  has secured an Australia wide subscription to give the general public access from anywhere in Australia.
• NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service
  Great site for health information in many different languages.Contains over 400 multilingual health resources in over 35 different languages.
