• On-line Dictionaries
  I ncludes a general dictionary and thesaurus as well as language dictionaries (over 260 languages) and specialised dictionaries (law, medicine, sport, finance and more).
• Roget’s II: The New Thesaurus
  The searchable online version of the third edition, 1995, of the print reference work of the same name.
• Acronym Finder  
  Enter acronyms to search for most common meanings, or enter keywords to search for the appropriate acronym.
• One Across
  A dictionary designed specifically for solving crossword puzzles. In addition to a simple dictionary lookup, the system accepts crossword clues and answer patterns and also includes help for anagrams and cryptograms.
• Double Tounged
  The official dictionary of unofficial English. The Double-Tongued Dictionary records undocumented or under-documented words from the fringes of English, with a focus on slang, jargon, and new words.

Almanacs

• Information Please
  The publishers have put the contents of the Information Please Almanacs, their own biography database, "a leading dictionary," and the Columbia Encyclopedia online. You can search these ready reference works together or separately or browse the Almanacs.
• Fact Monster
  The creators of the wonderful Information Please Almanac have introduced a version of this resource just for kids. It has an easy interface, and includes an on-line dictionary, encyclopedia, a homework centre, "today in history," and a word of the day.

• Australian Property Monitors Home Price Guide
  Provides extensive information on property and real estate by postcode area (cost applies), as well as a free statistical snapshot of postcode areas - enter your desired postcode and select "postcode snapshot" in the "Quick Search" at the top of the screen.
• Tourism NSW Information Resource Centre
  Fact sheets, profiles, etc relating to tourism in NSW. Good coverage of the Blue Mountains.

  A wide variety of crime related statistics covering Australia, some states and some overseas countries.
