Organising Festivals and Events

The Blue Mountains City Council is keen to support festivals and events in its area and recognises these as an important part of community life.

To make an event successful it is imperative that the Event Organiser ensures their event planning and management meets the necessary regulative provisions to Local and State Government.

An excellent Events Starter Guide is available from Events NSW at www.events.nsw.gov.au. Blue Mountains City Council recommends all Events Organisers familiarise themselves with an event management resource guide.

Blue Mountains City Council requires all Event Organisers to complete and submit a Festivals and Events Application Form, which can be downloaded at right.

For assistance, or if you would like the Application Form emailed to you in a Microsoft Word format, please contact the Wendy Dollin, Events Coordinator on (02) 4780 5233.

Promotion of Festivals and Events

Blue Mountains Tourism actively promotes regional events, festivals and markets through the media, local Visitor Information Centres, website and other publications/outlets.

By completing a Inclusion in Calendar of Events Form, the information provided will be included in the Calendar of Events promoted by Blue Mountains Tourism. Download the Inclusion in Calendar of Events Form at right. Even if your event does not require a full event application, if you wish to promote it on the Blue Mountains Tourism website please complete the form and send to:
