Streamwatch Volunteers
Volunteers sampling water bugs as an indicator of stream health
What is Living Streams Streamwatch
Living Streams is part of the Streamwatch environmental action network, aimed at educating and empowering communities to work together for healthy catchments.
Groups within the program conduct a range of simple physical, chemical and biological tests to monitor the health of their adopted waterway. Data collected by volunteers is used to assist the management of Blue Mountains waterways, and participants are also able to enjoy the lighter social side of the program.
